They ask if the center is open to explore multiple times a day. The answer is always YES! you can see the excitement when they realized that this was new experience to explore and they couldn't get enough of creating open ended experiences together. \r\n\r\nThe children asked about all the different types clothing that were a part of our project and their countries of origin. They asked to learn how to say hello and goodbye in different languages from across the world. They have started greeting each other and school staff in various languages throughout the school day. They enjoyed asking about the different foods that they were unfamiliar with and this gave our class an opportunity to investigate the origins of some of the produce from different cultures within our international grocery stand.\r\n\r\n There is a possibility that I will be teaching this year's group of students again next year in Kindergarten and I look forward to the opportunities to extending their exploration and growth into other focus areas with this project. The table we had before was way too small for my third graders. Many of my students did not fit as the table was only 24 inches high and I currently have some tall third graders. One of my students sat down at the table, smiled at me, and said,\" I fit.\" He really appreciated the fact that now his knees no longer hit the top of the table. The same goes for the rest of my taller students.
