The materials provided helped me create a classroom environment centered around encouragement, kindness, positive choices, and celebrating students for who they are.\r\n\r\nThe items for my classroom \"Mart Cart\" gave students the opportunity to earn tickets for demonstrating positive behaviors, being responsible, showing kindness, and putting forth their best effort. Students were incredibly excited to save their tickets and choose their own rewards. More importantly, the system gave me a consistent way to recognize and reinforce the positive choices I want to see in our classroom every day.\r\n\r\nThe materials also allowed me to create a Star Student celebration, where each student gets a special week dedicated to celebrating them. This has been especially meaningful because it ensures that every child has an opportunity to feel noticed, valued, and appreciated. Students get to share their interests and strengths with their classmates, and their peers have the opportunity to celebrate what makes that student special.\r\n\r\nBecause of this project, I have been able to build a stronger classroom community and create more opportunities for students to experience success and recognition. The biggest reward has been seeing students take pride in their choices and becoming excited to celebrate one another.\r\n\r\nI am incredibly grateful for the Positive Vibes materials for helping me create a classroom where positivity is more than just a word—it is something we practice and celebrate every day. Your generosity is providing my students with meaningful opportunities to read, discuss, and connect with books in a way that goes far beyond simply completing an assignment.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, reading a full novel can feel like a big challenge. Having access to engaging, grade-level novels allows them to experience the excitement of getting lost in a story while building important reading skills along the way. Through our novel studies, students will analyze characters, identify themes, make inferences, determine the meaning of unfamiliar words, and support their ideas with evidence from the text.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, these novels will give my students something to talk about together. We will have classroom discussions, partner conversations, and collaborative activities that encourage students to share their thinking, listen to different perspectives, and become more confident in expressing their ideas.\r\n\r\nI am especially excited to see students who may not consider themselves \"readers\" discover a character, story, or book that captures their attention. A great novel can help a student see themselves in a story, understand someone else's experience, or simply discover that reading can be enjoyable.\r\n\r\nYour donation is helping create a classroom where books are not just something students read for a grade—they are a way to think, connect, question, imagine, and grow.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my sixth graders and helping me build a classroom full of confident, curious readers.
