Your donations to our Wolfpack students truly helped to enhance our studio experience. We are very grateful for your kindness. \r\n\r\nBecause of you, our classroom received many new and fun materials: a hand extruder, acrylic paint makers, sculpting wire, and ceramic fix. These were not just supplies, but were tools to encourage the students to create, problem-solve and appreciate their craftsmanship. \r\n\r\nThe hand extruder became a classroom favorite, allowing the students to effortlessly create uniform coils that would have taken hours by hand. This allowed students more time to build bigger and more intricate sculptures. With the sculpting wire, they learned how wire could be used with the clay to create even more dynamic figures such as an antenna for an anglerfish or stems for flowers. The ceramic fix helped several projects survive the glazing process when pieces are very fragile and can easily crack. Students learned to repair, adapt to changes and move forward with the projects. One such plate was named \"A Broken Smile\" after it was repaired. \r\n\r\nYour donation showed our students that people believe in their talents and education. You have helped to foster a classroom where they can express themselves, learn from mistakes, problem solve, and have pride in their creations. \r\n\r\nThank you again for making a lasting difference in our Mountainside Ceramics Classroom and in the lives of our young artists.","fullyFundedDate":1773984444961,"projectUrl":"project/the-art-of-the-pack-clay-creations-by-t/10159845/","projectTitle":"The Art of the Pack: Clay Creations by the Wolves","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10346976"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_127566","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":387,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":44,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":4,"percentWhite":46,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":2,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":60.0,"schoolId":127566,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Mountainside High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Mountainside High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/arizona/nadaburg-unified-school-district/mountainside-high-school/127566"}
