Previous students make comments about how mych they miss being in my room. Part of that is due to donors like you who have supported classrooms like mine to make them more fun and engaging. \r\n\r\nThe pillows, plinko, board, reward incentives, and more have made the kids so excited to learn, stay focused, and do well. I have been able to create a classroom economy which provides real world exposure for the students to save, buy, and manage points they receive as if they were money. This also doubles to meet math standards that include adding and subtracting, \r\n\r\nThe teacher pay teacher gift cards allowed me to purchase fun and engaging reading and math centers for when the kids are rotating through small groups. They are able to work on hands on activities independently or in the group and the best part is they are having fun while learning! \r\n\r\nThank you again for your support! The tools we received have made a world of difference. \r\n\r\nThe kids were ecstatic to get their own full sets of base ten blocks that were durable and interlocking. These blocks have helped solidify concepts like place value, adding, and subtracting - especially for my struggling learners and the ones who need tactile connections. The interlocking ability had made such a difference in their understanding of decomposing and subtracting numbers or regrouping when adding. \r\n\r\nHaving a printer and laminator have also impacted our classroom significantly. I have been able to print full color lessons and centers for all subjects that are engaging and fun. We have been able to bring projects like \"Place Value Frankie\" and \"Skip Counting Spiders\" to life. I have been able to laminate place value mats, addition and subtraction mats, phonics mats, and graph paper to make them reusable and dry erase without having to spend extra money. On top of that, the number charts we received and all the mats I've printed and laminated fit perfectly into the pouches so they are easily accessible for the kids. \r\n\r\nWe are on a great path to learning great things and these tools and materials have made it so much easier. My students are so excited to learn and I've had a few even remark, \"I actually like school now!\" I can't even begin to express the appreciation I feel to be able to provide my students with items to help make school fun. This year and the following these children made tremendous growth on state testing and personal goals. \r\n\r\nThe carpet made the classroom more comfortable and inviting to learn. Children loved the alternative space to read and complete work versus a chair. \r\n\r\nThe manipulative games helped children who were several years behind academically. One child showed over a whole year's grown after a year of retention.
