The new Chromebook chargers have made a huge difference in our day-to-day learning. Before this project, students would often lose valuable class time when their devices ran out of battery. Now, every student can stay engaged and focused from start to finish without worrying about their Chromebook dying in the middle of a lesson or activity.\r\n\r\nIt's been wonderful to see how much calmer and more confident students feel knowing they have what they need to succeed. Many of them have taken more ownership of their learning — they're quick to plug in and make sure their devices are ready for the next task. What seems like a small addition has actually made technology use in our classroom far more efficient and productive.\r\n\r\nMy students and I are so grateful for your generosity. I have been wanting a set of photo gates since I started teaching 6 years ago and it was unreal to have a full class set it's really neat for students who normally have a hard time with more abstract concepts to see the numbers and the math that we do in real life, especially for a lot of our English language Learners and special education students. \r\n\r\nMy first lab that I did. I got a bunch of Hot Wheels and Hot wheel tracks and we change the height that we dropped the Hot wheel from and measured how fast it was at the bottom of the track. In previous years I would have to measure a given distance at the bottom of the track and divided by time which may not be a ton but being able to just see velocity is just a really cool way to do physics \r\n\r\nIn behalf of all of mountain view high School.
