Your generosity has brought so much possibility into our classroom, and my students are already feeling the impact.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, we now have the tools to meet students where they are—something especially important as they continue to recover academically and emotionally from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. The math manipulatives, games, literacy tools, and hands-on materials you funded are transforming the way students learn. Pop-Its, Blink, Tenzi, magnetic letters, and word-building dice are helping students connect instruction to practice in joyful, meaningful ways. They're gaining confidence, taking risks, and discovering that learning can be both challenging and fun.\r\n\r\nYour support also made it possible to create a more organized, accessible learning environment. The caddies, carpet spots, hooks, and mail center have helped us streamline materials so small groups can focus without distraction. This organization is making our classroom calmer, more efficient, and more welcoming.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is more than a donation—it's a message to my students that their growth matters and that there are people cheering them on. Thank you for helping us build a brighter future, one small group at a time. We are so grateful for your kindness and belief in our work.","fullyFundedDate":1723085258733,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-materials/8559990/","projectTitle":"Small Group Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Berry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9019213_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1682776216701","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9019213"},{"teacherId":9221573,"projectId":8575738,"letterContent":"My students have enjoyed the alternative seating options everyday since we built the seats together. The fifth grade students learned to read the manual and follow each step carefully to successfully build each chair purchased. This has given them tremendous pride each day they enter the classroom. I like to think that the students are respecting the soft surfaces of each chair a little bit more since they feel ownership in the final product. The seats are adjustable so I'm able to use them with students in kindergarten through 5th grade.\r\n My younger students have been building letters and words with the Wikki sticks, and writing the letters that represent the phonemes they hear in the sand on the trays. Both of these activities provide students with extra sensory input that supports their long term memory of the concepts being taught. The 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students prefer to spell in sand rather than simply writing with paper and pencil. Mistakes are easy to correct when writing in sand too!\r\n Listening for the sounds of words/phonemes with the phone sets, and stretching the sounds in words using the finger puppets bring excitement and enjoyment to learning for my young students. \r\n At any age, students are always excited to see new materials and tryout new ideas with fresh materials. In special education, we review concepts many times and new products keep the kids interested in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1728080960240,"projectUrl":"project/sensory-input-boosts-learning/8575738/","projectTitle":"Sensory Input Boosts Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mabry Hughes","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9221573"},{"teacherId":8189280,"projectId":8571506,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my students in their education! This project has helped to bring more art supplies into our classroom. Our students love to create different art projects and to just be creative! So many of our students would rather color and create their own masterpiece! With these supplies, they have been able create so many different projects and creations. For example, they have been able to creat monsters, boxes, spiners, gingerbread men and more! \r\n\r\nNot only is creating new masterpieces fun, but many of these tools help support their fine motor development. Many Kindergarteners need more support in their fine motor development and building their strength. By our students using hole punches, they are getting stronger, by coloring and using their alligator grip, they are getting stronger, as they are using their scissors, they are getting stringer. Each of the materials that were provided not only help with their learning but also help with their fine motor development and strength.
