Reading instruction is my main focus for my current group of students. I teach all subjects to 24 students, half of whom are English language learners. With some focusing issues present as well, touch screen educational applications help a great deal, in my experience as a teacher and a parent, in growing young readers, writers, curious scientists, mathematicians, and researchers. If we could have enough for one group set of (four) iPads, they would fit in perfectly with our small group rotations during guided reading or math/literacy blocks. We could use the iPads for so much more than a laptop or desktop could offer.
