Our students are exposed to literacy, music, numbers, all through music and reading. Until now we have only had access to CD players for students to utilize in our listening centers. The technology was outdated and made no sense to our younger learners who had never been exposed to them. Students would never choose to use this center and would be losing out on so much potential to be exposed to all of these important building blocks in their education. \r\n When these students saw these new materials the excitement on their faces was priceless. This technology is now something they understand how to use and so easy to use. They are able to pick their favorite books, songs, and topics to learn about simply by choosing one of the characters and placing it on the box. \r\n As we move forward with using these in our listening centers we will be attempting to get more Tonies in other languages as they become available for our Multiple Language learners. We also plan to use some of the characters that can be recorded on with teacher reading them these books or singing songs along with things we are using in our own curriculum.
