Thanks to you, our students are not only having a blast learning to ride, but they're also gaining valuable social and motor skills along the way.\r\n\r\nEach day, the excitement is unmistakable as students help set up the track and line up eagerly for their turn. This daily routine has become a wonderful opportunity for them to practice patience, take turns, and cooperate—key skills that support their emotional and social development.\r\n\r\nWhen we first introduced the tricycles, the joy on their faces said it all. While many had tried riding before, few had truly mastered pedaling. Having time in small groups allowed them to build confidence without feeling rushed. Watching them cheer each other on, stop at the right places, and ask for another turn has been a true delight.\r\nYour donation has sparked a new chapter in our outdoor play program. Our vision is to continue expanding these activities—adding areas where students can relax, connect, and enjoy their recess and snack times together. Because of your generosity, we've taken the first big step toward building a playground that will bring joy and growth to our students for years to come. With the thermal binding machine, I've been able to repair quite a number of damaged books that were previously too worn to circulate. Books with torn bindings and loose pages are now back on the shelves, ready to be enjoyed by eager readers.\r\n\r\nThe book cover protectors are also making a huge difference. Every new book is now covered and reinforced, helping to extend the lifespan despite enthusiastic hands of young readers. This means our collection will stay in better shape for longer, allowing us to focus our budget on adding even more exciting titles.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, I plan to continue using these resources to maintain our collection and teach students about book care. I've even been able to show some of the older students how the repair process works, sparking their curiosity about how books are made and maintained. Because of your kindness, our library remains a vibrant, welcoming place where students can always find books to fuel their love of reading.\r\n\r\nThanks for making such a meaningful impact on our library and our students!","fullyFundedDate":1737143501443,"projectUrl":"project/help-us-restore-our-beloved-books/9047302/","projectTitle":"Help Us Restore Our Beloved Books!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Noelle","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9890571"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_55300","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":564,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":20,"percentAsian":29,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":34,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":19,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"18.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":96.4,"schoolId":55300,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Morning Creek Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Morning Creek Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/poway-unified-school-district/morning-creek-elementary-school/55300"}
