Reading and writing can be incredibly difficult for 3rd grade students, especially when it comes to sparking their interest. Thanks to the teacher created resources on Teachers Pay Teachers, my students have found new and exciting parts of the reading and writing processes that have helped them to achieve success.\r\n\r\nMany of the resources have been comprehension passages that has helped to connect social studies and science to reading and writing. Being able to demonstrate to students how reading and writing is connected to all aspects of their life, has been beneficial to students. Students have enjoyed reading passages that have been created around things that are interesting to them, like animals, sports and exotic places around the world. They have also helped to increase their interest in science and social studies.
