Because of you, I have a fully stocked classroom library and supplies for studies to complete creative projects about the class books we've been reading. We've finished up reading a number of Shakespeare plays, and many of the students turned in some really exemplary finally projects. They've used our new poster paper and colored pencils to draw the characters, storyboards, symbols, etc. I've enjoyed seeing how creative these kids are.\r\nI like to have my students read a book of their choosing each term, and it means a lot to have plenty of books to pick from. If they can find something that interests them, they're more likely to finish the book and gain a greater love of reading, as well as a better understanding of language. They tend to gravitate towards books they can relate to (as we all do), so I'm especially glad to have a selection of books about young kids of color that they can see themselves in.\r\nThank you again for generously giving to my classroom. It makes it a lot easier to teach when I have the proper supplies to do so. It also makes it easier to foster a reading environment when we have a room completely filled with books.
