My students have really enjoyed learning the Math 24 Game to practice their multiplication and division fluency. We use this resource almost every day during math group time. Students are assessed at the end of each week on their fact fluency. This game helps them successfully recall their facts to complete the assessment. \r\n\r\nWhen I first introduced this game to my students, it sparked a sense of joy and excitement around math facts. This can be a challenging piece of math to master, but with this game, students are eager to learn and become better at math! They look for ways to challenge one another and build their confidence in math fact mastery. \r\n\r\nI am planning to invite parents in to help students consistently play the Math 24 Game. There have been a few parents who have shown interest in pulling math groups during the day, and I think they would enjoy helping the students with their math facts with this game. One of our upcoming lessons is understanding concepts of multiplication, so I know we will continue to utilize this game throughout the entirety of the school year. The books you donated through this project were used as mentor texts, research sources, and independent reading books with 40 students. For example, many of the books were used to build background knowledge, context, and interest in our sport's fiction unit where students wrote their own realistic fiction stories. The 3rd graders were able to pick any sport they wanted and then worked through the writing process to plan, draft, write, edit, and publish their own story. In order for them to be successful, it was important that they had a foundation for what they were writing, so we started the unit by exploring books and videos about different sports. The books we received from this project included ones for popular topics, such as football and soccer, that we needed more of, as well as new options with sports like lacrosse that we didn't have before. Along with our units of study, the students also have opportunities to read independently with books of their choice, and being able to add the books from this project was wonderful! It's been wonderful to see how such a simple change in seating has supported both emotional and behavioral engagement.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, our students are working on a self-regulation project where they explore different coping strategies and create personalized \"calm kits.\" The wobble stools are now a part of our calming tools, giving students the option to use them when they need a safe space to reset. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your remarkable contribution.\r\n\r\nThe impact of these drones on my students has been nothing short of transformative. Their engagement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics has skyrocketed. What were once abstract concepts have become tangible and exciting through hands-on exploration with the drones. They're not just passively absorbing information; they're actively problem-solving, visualizing abstract concepts in three dimensions, and developing spatial reasoning skills in a way that textbooks alone simply can't achieve. The hum of the printer has become the soundtrack to a new era of engagement, where mistakes are learning opportunities and the possibilities seem as limitless as their imaginations.\r\n\r\nBeyond the core curriculum, this technology has fostered collaboration and ignited a passion for innovation. Students are working together to design and print prototypes for science projects, create unique game pieces for math activities, and even develop assistive devices for fictional scenarios.
