We are able to use the lap desks both inside the classroom and outside on nice days. Being out in nature helps all learners. \r\n We used the \"Who Would Win\" book series during our study about animals and their structures and functions. We read these book sets in groups and the students participated in rich conversations about the text. It even inspired them to write their own \"Who Would Win\" stories!\r\n Finally, the new white board sets have saved us so much paper! The resources from this project have made a tremendous impact on the students in my classroom.\r\n\r\nOne student in my class spent the majority of his first couple months in the back of the classroom, refusing to come out from the corner. Now, he will come out and engage in the lessons while he jumps on the trampoline. Using the trampoline helps him regulate his sensory systems and have given him engagement in our curriculum.\r\n\r\nAnother student uses the weighted stuffed animals regularly to stay seated in her seat. She will cuddle and hold the stuffed animals, and the weight of them helps her stay calm. This has increased her engagement with our curriculum as well.\r\n\r\nA last student I have struggled significantly every morning saying goodbye to his mom at the door. When we determined he loved to swing, we practiced saying goodbye, and then he would get in the swing to calm himself.
