My students and I have loved the resources you purchased. Two of our favorite items are the science viemasters with wildlife and sealife cards and the butterfly kit. We had an unreasonably nice October, and we were able to release the butterflies around my birthday, which made it especially significant to me. \r\n\r\nMy students were super excited when I unboxed all of the resources, but they definitely showed the most enthusiasm toward the caterpillars. They couldn't wait to learn about them and see how they were developing inside their chryslyses.\r\n\r\nAnother favorite were the magnetic wands and bingo chips. I swear they would play with those for hours if I'd let them. It never ceases to amaze them how quickly they can clean those up when indoor recess is over.\r\n\r\nMy next steps are to make a little summer resource packet reviewing the STEM concepts we learned. That way, I hope to prevent the summer slide with something fun for them to do.\r\n\r\nAgain, thank you so much for your kindness and generosity. The moment my students walked in and saw it, their faces lit up with excitement. They could hardly wait to sit together in their new space, and it has quickly become the heart of our room.\r\n\r\nWe use the carpet multiple times a day, all day long—starting with our morning meeting, where we greet each other, share ideas, and build our classroom community. It gives us a safe and welcoming place for dancing, brain breaks, and group activities that keep our young learners engaged and moving. During indoor recess, the carpet has also become a cozy space for reading, playing, and connecting with friends.\r\n\r\nAcademically, the carpet has transformed how I introduce new topics and lead lessons. It allows us to gather close for hands-on activities, and demonstrations, where students proudly share their ideas. Just this week, we began exploring a math lesson on height. Sitting together on the carpet, students compared their own heights, lined up in order, and used blocks to measure how tall different classroom objects were. Having this shared space made the activity more interactive, collaborative, and fun.\r\n\r\nThis carpet has already made a lasting impact by giving my students a place where learning feels comfortable, exciting, and community-driven.
