During the first quarter of school, fourth grade classes used ink on their printmaking project that was inspired by artist Paul Klee. Fifth grade students created pinch pot creatures with the donated clay, and painted them afterwards with acrylic! Sixth grade students were engaged, and showcased hand-building techniques while making their clay bobbleheads. During these 3-D projects, students used our new clay tools as well to smooth and carve designs.\r\n\r\nFor the rest of the school year, Kindergarten through fourth grade will create a clay project with the remaining amount of clay, and later will be displayed for all students and staff to see! You can expect us to make clay cupcakes, slab taco fish, clay monsters, slab dragon eyes, and fairy homes! It was important for me to find support with art materials in order to be able to teach the projects I enjoy most, so I want to thank you for making a difference!
