Your support came at a crucial time, and it has made a profound difference in the lives of our students. At Mira Loma High School, many of our students come from underserved neighborhoods and face economic challenges that can create barriers to academic success. Your generosity helped remove those obstacles and allowed our classroom to remain a place of equity, support, and meaningful learning through the end of the school year.\r\n\r\nThanks to your donations, we were able to provide students with essential classroom supplies—everything from pencils and paper to scissors and materials for projects—that they might not have otherwise had access to. While these items may seem basic, they are often the difference between a student feeling prepared and confident versus isolated and behind. Your support meant that students could focus on their learning instead of worrying about whether they had the tools they needed to complete an assignment or participate in a project. You helped create a classroom where no one had to ask or feel embarrassed—where supplies were simply available and learning could continue uninterrupted.\r\n\r\nEven more importantly, your contributions helped reinforce the idea that our students are seen, valued, and believed in. It sends a powerful message when people outside the classroom invest in their potential. That encouragement, combined with the tangible support you provided, gave many of my students the motivation to finish the year strong. Thank you for helping close the gap and for giving these young people a greater chance to succeed—not just academically, but with confidence and dignity.","fullyFundedDate":1746450599094,"projectUrl":"project/finishing-off-the-school-year/9172092/","projectTitle":"Finishing Off the School Year","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Stinson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2875367_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1522339136275","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/stinson2024"},{"teacherId":2875367,"projectId":9249358,"letterContent":"On behalf of the entire Mira Loma High School community, we would like to extend our sincerest gratitude for your generous support of our International Festival. These visual elements not only beautify our campus but also help guests navigate the event and connect with each cultural and advocacy display. With the addition of more tables and supplies, previously underrepresented groups such as the Muslim Student Union, Pride Club, military families, and our Asian and Pacific Islander communities had the space and visibility they deserved to participate fully.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your support was evident throughout the festival. Students took pride in setting up their booths and sharing their heritage, food, music, and stories with peers, staff, and visitors. Teachers were able to tie the festival into meaningful lessons on global innovation, identity, and cultural expression. More than just a celebration, the festival became a living classroom—where the values of diversity, respect, and inclusion came alive through interactive learning and community engagement.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply thankful for your investment in our school and in our students. They are now growing drought-resistant grasses, flowers, and vegetables—gaining not only practical experience but also a deeper understanding of environmental stewardship and responsibility. This opportunity is already inspiring many of our students to engage with nature in ways they hadn't before.\r\n\r\nImportantly, the garden is being used across multiple classrooms and subject areas, encouraging interdisciplinary learning and reflection. Students regularly write in journals about their experiences working in the garden—documenting not only the plants' growth but their own personal growth as well. The space is also being offered to student clubs and groups for social wellness activities, reinforcing the garden as a place of community connection and mental health support.\r\n\r\nWe are deeply grateful for your investment in our students and in this project. It is important for them to sometimes work on things \"on their own\" so they can work on their self-starter skills and have time to go at their own pace and these headphones help with that.\r\n\r\nSo thank you so much, your generosity is very appreciated, especially coming from a first year teacher who has needed some help as I adjust this year and engage my students in these important reading and communication abilities!\r\n\r\nHave a blessed year!","fullyFundedDate":1735660990735,"projectUrl":"project/engaging-students-wgraphic-novels-and-s/8918016/","projectTitle":"Engaging Students w/Graphic Novels and Self-Paced Activities","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Petree (Mayforth)","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9823510_orig.jpg?crop=518,518,x186,y914&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1755893958793","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9823510"},{"teacherId":9823509,"projectId":8914892,"letterContent":"I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your generous contributions to our school.
