The headphones have been used daily in the classroom. Students are able to watch videos that enhance their learning. Students are able to use the noise-cancelling feature to stay more focused when the classroom gets noisy. Students are able to play learning games while listening instead of turning the volume way down. The morale of the classroom during computer time has been tremendous. I can't express the gratitude I feel when my students are supported and learning is enhanced. \r\nThe students love the colors and ease of storing their headphones. They are being extremely careful and diligent in the handling of the new headphones. I know they feel special that people took the time to donate so that they could have nice, functioning, and colorful headphones. I remind students that people do care about their well-being and education.","fullyFundedDate":1762571410315,"projectUrl":"project/listening-in-the-classroom/9871959/","projectTitle":"Listening in the Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9154452_orig.jpg?crop=810,810,x11,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1693184141475","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9154452"},{"teacherId":9154452,"projectId":9269014,"letterContent":"I did not complete this project until after the school year. But, it did benefit and impact the next class! Your generous gift provided much needed snacks for my entire class that has lasted and continues to last for the last 4 months! Saving me hundreds of dollars and allowed me to provide nutritious and healthy snacks to students who needed them. Making sure that students are not hungry is essential to learning. Students were so excited to see the variety of snacks provided. \r\n\r\nThe classroom supplies helped to start the year off right! I only required my parents to purchase about $10 in supplies. It also builds classroom community, adaptation, creativity and complex thinking skills that are so important. \r\n\r\nThe students have been more engaged in learning, tackled very complex questions, and began to think outside of the box to solve problems. This book keeps the kids engaged in the story and makes them want to keep reading. Although there are many books that kids enjoy, this one is particularly engaging as I pair it with a simulation. I \"drop\" the kids onto a very similar island in the wonderful world of Minecraft.\r\n\r\nThey play, and journal their Minecraft events. Then read and analyze the book. I give them tasks related to the book, that reinforces events from the story. For instance they need to find the conch (Minecraft version: a Nautilus shell in an item frame). I hide it in the lagoon, near the bathing pools. If they pay attention in the book, that is also where it was located.\r\n\r\nAfter the book, and the parallel sim world, they write an essay comparing and contrasting the two and look for a conclusion. Many times they realize that the two were very similar, and they did a lot of what the boys did on the island, even before they read about it. \r\n\r\nIt truly is a great study on human nature!","fullyFundedDate":1753972753532,"projectUrl":"project/build-an-unforgettable-reading-adventure/9239307/","projectTitle":"Build an Unforgettable Reading Adventure with Lord of Flies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kapele","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1732112_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753756948544","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1732112"},{"teacherId":1732112,"projectId":9216940,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the tables!
