Your contributions are already making a huge impact, turning math practice into an exciting classroom competition.\r\nOur new resources are centered around making math fact mastery highly engaging and rewarding.\r\nThe students compete every week to master their multiplication and division facts. This consistent practice helps them build fluency and speed. We are using the prizes you funded to fuel this excitement. The prize box is utilized weekly to reward students who finish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the competition. They absolutely love seeing what treasures they can choose!\r\nStudents also receive a special sketch tablet when they achieve the major milestone of completing and mastering all four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). This final gift is a major motivator.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe sketch tablets have been a huge hit! Students who have earned them use their tablets daily during our lesson times or during independent work periods. This particular reward seems to be a real favorite and is a constant reminder of the hard work and dedication they put into mastering their facts. It's wonderful to see them using the tablets to draw, create, or even solve more advanced problems!\r\n\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions to the prizes was overwhelmingly positive! They are thrilled with the prize box and the variety of small prizes they can choose from each week.\r\nThe students who have already completed all four math operations and received the sketch tablet are modeling focused, independent work. They use the tablet every day, and seeing their peers use this favorite gift inspires the other students to work harder towards achieving their own mastery.\r\nThe students' journey to fact mastery is ongoing! We will continue to work on math facts throughout the entire year, ensuring that every student achieves confidence and fluency.\r\n\r\nThe goal is for every student to have the opportunity of winning a sketch tablet by completing all four math operations. Your continued support helps us keep the momentum going and ensure every student is celebrated for their hard work.","fullyFundedDate":1747165295328,"projectUrl":"project/motivated-mathematicians-math-prizes-to/9295814/","projectTitle":"Motivated Mathematicians: Math Prizes to Boost Engagement!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morgan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4053621_orig.jpg?crop=2073,2073,x491,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1671133815492","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4053621"},{"teacherId":2057741,"projectId":8315547,"letterContent":"Any of my donors that know me personally will probably already know this, but reading is my passion. As the boxes of materials arrived in the classroom, we opened them all together and the excitement in the room escalated. I have a number of students who require some additional attention to stay focused and engaged during instruction. These students have actively used the bean bags and leaf chairs to help assist with their focus. Their engagement and attentiveness has improved with the support of the flexible seating. In addition to these students, all of my students are provided opportunities to use the bean bags and the leaf seats during instruction and independent work.
