The students painted beautiful tote bags to take home and reuse at the store with their families to help eliminate plastic bag use. Some even used them as backpacks to finish the year as they were SO proud of their art work!\r\n\r\nWe also used the paint during play time to paint beautiful pictures! Students got creative (and a little messy) but loved every second of it! We used these bags as an opportunity to talk about \"Reducing\" our plastic use and how using reusable bags when grocery shopping can help with that! Many students chose to paint their bags with some of their favorite foods - to help them remember what the bags are for! The new toys for playtime have given us a confidence boost and we have been working hard at using our words with our friends and solving problems on our own!\r\n\r\nThe bean bag may be the item that has gotten the most use in our classroom! It has helped us with our literacy stations, been a source of joy during playtime, and has comforted many students who have either been tired or had some big feelings. I think most of them would snuggle up there if they could all day!\r\n\r\nThe dollhouse has never been played with MORE now that the furniture isn't broken! As always, the skin color crayons have been a hit! The students insist on having them for their art center to draw their friends more accurately!\r\n\r\nThank you again from the bottom of our hearts.
