This year our school is working on improving our school-wide scores in Math. This all begins with developing number sense in Kindergarten. Students develop this sense through touching, moving and counting objects into different arrangements. By visualizing and creating number groups with different materials, they learn how numbers are represented. These materials will help my students learn quickly and stay engaged in small group math stations. My students will use magnet puzzles, bead strings, stamps and card games to play their way to strong number sense. During this crucial year of focusing on beginning math, we really need engaging math materials and we cannot afford even the most basic supplies. Please help me to get my students the supplies we need so they can grow and learn.
