We already have the series available in our classroom library, and my students truly enjoy reading these books. Because they are graphic novels, the combination of pictures, dialogue, humor, and text makes reading feel exciting and approachable, especially for my bilingual students who are continuing to build their English vocabulary and reading confidence.\r\n\r\nWe use these books to practice so many important reading skills. Students work on identifying characters and setting, retelling events in order, making predictions, identifying problems and solutions, discussing character traits, and using pictures and context clues to understand unfamiliar words. The books are also wonderful for building fluency because students love rereading their favorite parts and reading the dialogue with expression.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom happens in many different ways. Students read independently, with partners, during small groups, and whenever they have an opportunity to grab a book from our classroom library. One of my favorite things to see is students recommending books to each other or sitting together talking about a funny part they just read. Sometimes they are so interested in these books that they don't even realize how many reading skills they are practicing along the way!\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part is still to come! Although we have the series in our classroom, my students will be receiving their very own copy of a book in December thanks to your donation! I cannot wait to see their faces when they realize that this time the book isn't one they have to return to our classroom library it is theirs to keep and enjoy at home! I already know they are going to LOVE it.\r\n\r\nThank you so much to everyone who helped make this project possible. This technology allows me to create colorful, engaging, hands-on materials that help bring our lessons to life. My students are able to use printed resources for reading, writing, science, social studies, STEAM activities, and art projects. For my bilingual students especially, having clear visuals and colorful materials helps them connect new English vocabulary with pictures and concepts they already understand. I have also been able to creat multiple magnets for the students that they use daily in centers.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is seeing their learning printed in beautiful, vibrant color! They love when I print pictures, projects, learning activities, and resources that they can actually hold, use, cut, create with, and display. They are always so excited when they see something new coming out of the printer and immediately want to know what we are going to make or learn next!\r\n\r\nSome of my students who are still developing their English skills have especially warmed up to the materials created with our new printer. The colorful visuals give them another way to understand a lesson when the language may still be challenging. I have also noticed that some of my quieter students become much more confident and eager to participate when we use hands-on, visually engaging activities. They are excited to create something of their own and proudly share their finished work with their classmates.\r\n\r\nThis printer is so much more than a piece of technology in our classroom. It is helping me create learning experiences that are colorful, meaningful, accessible, and exciting for my students. We have used it across different subjects to help students demonstrate their learning in creative and meaningful ways.\r\n\r\n In reading, students painted a scene from their favorite fable and used their artwork to describe the characters, setting, and moral of the story. We also used the paint during our science unit to demonstrate blood moving through the circulatory system. The students really enjoy painting and especially love being able to show me what they have learned through art. It has been wonderful to see their creativity and excitement while connecting art to our academic lessons.\r\n\r\n When the students first saw the new materials, they were immediately excited! They were eager to start painting and explore how they could use the materials to bring their learning to life.\r\n\r\n Last year, my classroom was able to include over 20 art projects during the school year.
