I saw them taking their classmate's temperature and the water temperature with the infrared thermometer, students using a stopwatch for the first time, students having fun putting their hand in the dissection pan that was used to hold the ice cold water, and some students were writing down their notes on the post its. My students were all excited the first time I introduced them to the lab materials. A lot of them never used an infrared thermometer or a stopwatch, so I was glad to provide them with that experience. The next steps for the students is to answer analysis questions based on the lab they did today. They will be doing that tomorrow or on the Monday for when they return after the break.
