The students were unable to find engaging books and when they did, the books were not in the best condition. I worked very hard to clean up the collection to find the books worth reading and organize them in a way to provide maximum self-sufficiency in finding them. Once complete, I realized that there were so many titles the students wanted that I did not have. \r\n\r\nYour generosity and willingness to support the library has allowed me to provide so many of the titles the students were asking for as well as ones they didn't know where available to them. They come into the library each excited to search the shelves for new titles and find new things they can and want to read. They are also excited to share those titles with each other, which is so gratifying to see. I am so very grateful for your incredible generosity.\r\n\r\nI inherited an elementary school library that was a sad, neglected, and uninteresting space. The majority of the books were old, outdated, and unorganized. I was given the task of cleaning the space up and out. Once I got to the point where I was able to see what was left and what was worth keeping, I realized I needed to start building the collection back up. My students had requests and interests that were not being met, and I set out to start finding ways of meeting some of them.\r\n\r\nYour generosity in funding this project has allowed me to meet some of the wants of my students in the library.
