My students are learning the importance of regulating their emotions. They are learning that one can experience a variety of emotions each day. They are learning to understand that it is alright to be sad, angry, scared, and happy. We use the Little Spot of Emotions Plush and books to help express our emotions.\r\n\r\nStudents are able to visit the calming corner in our classroom and select a plush that reflect their emotion. They can also select the corresponding book and read on how to handle that particular emotion. Students also use the plush to communicate their emotions to me by placing a plush on the corner of their desk. This allows me to communicate with them discreetly.","fullyFundedDate":1764629335263,"projectUrl":"project/emotionally-healthy/9792832/","projectTitle":"Emotionally Healthy","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5439095_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1549824506622","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kim-hagan"},{"teacherId":5439095,"projectId":9123090,"letterContent":"Thank you once again for your generosity. Our backpack cart plays a valuable role in our classroom. We are no longer tripping over out backpacks or being distracted by them. We were so delighted when the cart was rolled into our classroom. We were thankful \r\n\r\nThe cart has allowed us to be better organized. We place our backpacks on the cart daily. Our teacher has also placed a container on the cart to store our water bottles. Having the cart has eliminated safety concerns. Since the backpacks are no longer falling off the back of our desk chairs, we have eliminated tripping hazards. Prior to receiving the cart, we had a few accidents with students and even our teacher tripping over our belongings. \r\n\r\nOur teacher as also found a way to make sure the cart does not get in the way by rolling it out and placing it outside our classroom where we can see it out the window.","fullyFundedDate":1746787315416,"projectUrl":"project/backpacks-off-the-floor/9123090/","projectTitle":"Backpacks Off the Floor","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hagan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5439095_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1549824506622","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/kim-hagan"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_32656","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":567,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":4,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":80,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"24.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":77.5,"schoolId":32656,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Midland Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Midland Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/moreno-valley-unified-school-district/midland-elementary-school/32656"}
