They have already loves using the balances to build and take numbers apart. It has been a great visual for students to understand how numbers are related to each other and how different combinations of numbers can still be equal. It has been a great hands-on and visual for my students to help build number sense. My students and I both really love the magnetic white board as well! It has been helpful to give an extra area to show magnetic manipulative and to be able to leave them up as a reference while pulling up other things on my interactive board.
