I made an announcement at the very beginning of the school year regarding the foods and other items so that all students knew they could come to me if they needed anything at all whether at school or even at home. Those who really needed it definitely took advantage of going into our classroom closet. They were able to come to me after class, after school, before school, and just before going home for an extended period as well. A blessing box is a container specifically built on the outside of churches and other organizations which allows families and individuals from around the community to discreetly obtain items needed. Items can range from personal hygiene to food items. All food items and other items obtained through this project has been split into two parts so that half can go into the blessing box on one given day and then the following week the other half can go in. Prayerfully the items get to people who need them the most.
