As a teacher, I strive to create a learning environment where curiosity, inquiry, and a love for reading are at the center of everything we do. Your support has made a meaningful difference in my students' learning and reading experiences.\r\n\r\nThe books you provided have brought excitement, engagement, and new learning opportunities into our classroom. My students were especially thrilled to see the graphic novels added to our shelves; those books rarely stay on our library shelves for more than a few minutes before being pulled off again!\r\n\r\nRight now, we are learning about non-fiction text features, and the Who Is / Who Was series has been an incredible tool for this unit. Students are using these biographies to recognize headings, timelines, captions, and glossaries, and they are making thoughtful connections to the people and events they're reading about. These texts have introduced them to research skills, historical thinking, and the idea that everyone has a story worth telling.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a joyful and purposeful time. Students spread out across the room with their books—some curled up on the rug, others tucked into a cozy corner. The new graphic novels, especially Swim Team and Gamerville, have sparked enthusiasm among students who sometimes struggled to stay engaged with longer texts. I've seen reluctant readers eagerly exchange their books with classmates and ask if we can read \"just a little longer.\"\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, I've been able to offer more choice, more representation, and more meaningful reading experiences to my students. These books have supported our curriculum, encouraged independent reading, and helped build confidence in emerging readers. Most importantly, they have helped my students see themselves as real readers—curious, capable, and excited to learn.\r\n\r\nThank you for making this possible.
