It is amazing to think of how many students were able to get a snack when they have gone hungry. Many times throughout the school year, I would have students make their way into my classroom asking for a snack that will just get them by until lunch, or until they can get home and get food.\r\n\r\nMany of the students who have trouble focusing in class or often fall asleep in class did not eat breakfast that morning. It is so helpful to give them a healthy snack to eat during class to help them focus.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, many athletes would come to me to ask for a snack before their afternoon practices.
