We have been working through our astronomy unit and learned why we can only send rovers to certain planets. The students worked in pairs to create their very own rover to explore that planet. We also will be using the Legos and magnetic tiles to create carts to race pumpkins for Halloween. This generous gift has allowed me to become more creative with learning in the classroom. The unique marble run tower and mini-mags are a great addition to our STEM toys.\r\nThe marble run has been very popular! Students have been working together (myself included) to figure out the coolest towers to build. We have even tried some of the plans in the instruction book that came with this set. The students have even figured out to add in some pieces from out other Magna-tile sets to help build a bigger and better structure.\r\nThe mini-mags are also very popular with early finishers. The students have been using their imagination to build smaller structures. They have also been building and imitating the structures with a partner.
