They use new vocabulary as they talk about taking care of people and animals. The center has also given my students opportunities to use their imaginations and act out real-life experiences. Some students pretend to care for a sick pet, while others check a patient's heartbeat, write prescriptions, or make appointments. \r\n\r\nThese materials have helped make learning fun, while building important social, language, and problem-solving skills. My students love using their imaginations in the morning to make structures and other neat buildings with the tiles! This focus on STEM concepts have really been a wonderful addition to my regular day, and with these tiles, students are excited to have new materials!\r\n Another favorite is the desk pets.
