Because of your contributions, our ALE students now have the resources they need to practice real-life job skills through Panther Fuel and other hands-on learning opportunities.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement on my students' faces was priceless. They immediately wanted to explore and start practicing with the new equipment. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students work together to prepare and serve coffee orders for staff, smiling with pride as they delivered drinks and received positive feedback from teachers. This project has given them a sense of responsibility and belonging on campus, while also teaching important skills such as teamwork, communication, and independence.\r\n\r\nWe are already putting the new resources to use daily. Students are learning to take orders, handle money, prepare drinks, and deliver them across campus. These experiences go far beyond the classroom, giving them the confidence and practical training they will need in future work and community settings.\r\n\r\nThe next step for my students is to continue building consistency and independence with these routines. We will also be introducing new tasks such as adding espresso shots, tracking inventory, and practicing customer service skills. With your help, they are developing real-world experiences that will prepare them for life after high school.\r\n\r\nThank you again for not only supporting this project, but also for helping us share it with others by promoting and coordinating the donation process. Your kindness and involvement make an incredible difference in the lives of my students, and we couldn't do this without you.\r\n\r\nWith gratitude,\r\nMrs. Gomez & Mrs. Schraer and the Panther Fuel Crew","fullyFundedDate":1747418144851,"projectUrl":"project/espresso-yourself-vocational-skills-for/9322557/","projectTitle":"Espresso Yourself: Vocational Skills for Lifelong Success","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gomez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10016891_orig.jpg?crop=345,345,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747848622125","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10016891"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_10787","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2412,"numTeachers":83,"percentFrplEligible":58,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":6,"percentWhite":24,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":62,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"29.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":50.0,"schoolId":10787,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Medina Valley High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Medina Valley High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/medina-valley-independent-school-district/medina-valley-high-school/10787"}
