One moment that stood out was watching a group of 3rd graders who usually struggle with confidence jump right into a teamwork activity using the new games. They were laughing, problem-solving, and supporting each other in a way I hadn't seen before.\r\n\r\nMany students were surprised when they first walked into the room and saw everything set up. These materials have helped students feel comfortable, engaged, and ready to participate.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these resources in our upcoming SEL groups to practice communication, self-regulation, and building healthy friendships. When I first brought them out, the kids' faces lit up! They crowded around the table, asking which one they could try first. Even students who are usually quiet or hesitant were eager to join in.\r\n\r\nThe games have been a perfect way to practice the goals we've been focusing on in Lunch Bunch: following directions, inviting others to play to make new friends, keeping calm bodies and reactions when losing, and practicing sharing and turn-taking. One of my favorite moments was watching a student who normally struggles with losing take a deep breath, smile, and say, \"Good game\" to his friend. That simple shift showed so much growth and self-control.\r\n\r\nAs we keep using these resources, the groups will continue working on cooperation, empathy, and self-regulation.
