Those donations have allowed me to provide my students with the sensory experiences they need to be more successful in the classroom. \r\n\r\nNot only have we used the sensory materials in our calming corner to help students regulate, we have also used the materials to provide multi-sensory academic experiences. The lapboard number lines have been used with our hopping frogs to help our students become more fluent in their addition and subtraction skills. The Little Spot of Emotion set has provided us with a fun way to learn about feelings. In addition, the sensory alphabet has helped my students get a better grasp on letter sound correspondence. \r\n\r\nMy class and I appreciate all you have done for us. Having these materials available to bridge the gap between concrete instruction and representational instruction has helped solidify their understanding of math strategies targeted during small group instruction.
