They instantly gathered around the rug, eyes wide, gently touching the fresh materials and asking if we could use them right away. Knowing that kind strangers sent these gifts specifically for our room made them feel incredibly special, valued, and ready to dive into learning.\r\nWe immediately put our new resources into action during our small-group literacy and math centers. One unforgettable moment happened when a small group used the Lakeshore Touch & Read CVC Match sets alongside the Sensory Fidget Tubes. A student who typically feels overwhelmed during phonics practice calmly held a fidget tube, tapped out letter sounds on the tactile cards, and triumphantly matched their first full set of words. Meanwhile, across the room, another group was giggling and cheering as they built number combinations using the Magnetic Ten-Frames and Number Blocks. The transformation was immediate—our room turned into a vibrant, focused hive of hands-on discovery, powered by sustained energy from our new classroom snacks.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our next step is to use these tools to launch our new collaborative story-building unit. Students will read the If You Give a Mouse a Cookie set, use the LEGO bricks and Crayola markers to design setting models, and practice typing their own creative ending summaries using our classroom tech setup. With our new Mobile Laptop Desk, I can easily navigate between groups to provide real-time feedback while students work independently with their AILIHEN headphones.
