Reading was something a lot of these students did not have an interest in, but once we began exploring novels and chapter books the kids realized that reading is a wonderful adventure. \r\nThrough the exploration of reading my students got introduced to different authors like Rob Buyea, Gordon Korman, and Lynda Mullaly Hunt. We got the pleasure of reading through the world talking about complex issues, differences in others, and navigating the world in other people's shoes.
