The everyday tools purchased through your donation will allow 6th graders the ability to communicate, process, and present their understandings throughout the learning process. Putting the materials and supplies I've requested into sixth grade hands grants access to a personalized approach to interactive English Language Arts notebooks--a powerful instructional tool used on a daily basis through the year and that they can refer to beyond 6th grade. Having access to highlighters and four colored pens enables students to take notes and highlight important information for specific purposes. Furthermore, the post-it pads helps us create and display noticing as well as record community and group ideas during discussions, facilitating a collaborative approach to building knowledge.
