The impact of the new activities was noticeable immediately. When the students saw the new Fidget game, they quickly asked to play. The engagement and participation of students is evident as they quickly answer the questions. The fidget is used to keep \"score\". \r\nThe data from my students showed they are reading at a Kindergarten or first-grade level at the beginning of the year. They have been showing slow gains this year. The students lack confidence in their abilities and often give up, so they avoid experiencing failure. This cycle has been so hard to witness in the many years of teaching. The games have greatly improved their confidence and willingness to share answers. The games have allowed them to fail because they know they will quickly have another opportunity to play and show what they know. The progress monitor of their reading is showing increased gains after the implementation of the games. \r\nThe Math games have been just as engaging as the Reading games. The games have been incorporated into Math rotations after the rules and how to play were explained to the students. The students have confidence in answering the questions and playing cooperatively with others. I have noticed the students are taking responsibility for ensuring the games are put away at the end of math time. \r\nThank you again for contributing to the success of my students.","fullyFundedDate":1768486439064,"projectUrl":"project/playing-for-learning-gains/9963677/","projectTitle":"Playing for Learning Gains","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Walkins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10387081"},{"teacherId":10225371,"projectId":10056706,"letterContent":"My kiddos could NOT BELIEVE IT when I told them their whole project was funded!!!
