Your support has given my students access to a larger variety of books and more opportunities to find books that match their interests.\r\n\r\nReading is an important part of our ELA classroom. Students have opportunities to choose books from our classroom library for independent reading, and the new books allow us to continue building skills such as identifying theme, understanding characters, making inferences, learning new vocabulary, and using evidence from a text to support our ideas.\r\n\r\nOne of the best parts has been seeing students look through the new books and find titles that immediately catch their attention. Having more choices is especially helpful for students who may not consider themselves readers yet. They are able to explore different genres and topics until they find something they enjoy.\r\n\r\nAs we continue throughout the school year, my goal is to keep encouraging students to read more, discover new interests, and become stronger and more confident readers. Your donations have helped make our classroom more organized, welcoming, and prepared for learning each day.\r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see all of the new materials, especially the new books and stress toys! Our new bookshelf has helped create a classroom library where students can easily access books, while the assignment bins give students an organized place to turn in their work. Students also have access to paper, notebooks, pencils, and other supplies that help them stay prepared and focused throughout the school day.\r\n\r\nI was also able to use the hot glue gun to hang materials, displays, and learning resources on our walls, helping make our classroom more welcoming and engaging. The rest of the supplies from this project have also had a great impact on our classroom by helping us stay organized, prepared, and ready to learn each day.\r\n\r\nWe are currently reading Bud, Not Buddy, and students are strengthening their reading and writing skills through class discussions, written responses, and activities using evidence from the text. As we continue throughout the school year, these resources will continue to support our lessons, projects, and everyday classroom needs.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and helping me create a classroom where they have the resources they need to learn and be successful.
