Your generous support has completely transformed our intensive skills classroom by creating a safe, peaceful space for our students! Having a dedicated cozy corner has given my students the tools they need to reset and feel ready to learn throughout the school day! When my students first walked into the classroom and saw the cozy corner set up, their smiles lit up the classroom! They were immediately drawn to the vibrant, multi-colored sensory tiles on the floor and enjoyed exploring the various fidgets and textured animal cards. This space is already making a big difference in our daily routine! My students were beyond thrilled to be welcomed back to school with brand new supplies and activities to build their fine motor and self-regulation skills. When my students first saw the materials, their eyes lit up with absolute excitement! They couldn't wait to explore all the new tools, and seeing their genuine joy as we unpacked everything was an incredible moment—they felt valued, supported, and ready to learn. Our students have loved using the CanDo TheraPutty in novel ways to build fine motor strength and dexterity. A favorite activity is picking out small letter beads hidden inside the putty and practicing naming and forming the letter. They get to work on in-hand manipulation and finger strength while simultaneously building their letter identification and writing skills! They have also absolutely loved exploring the JoyCat Mystery Alphabet Box, which makes letter-learning feel like a fun guessing game.\r\nBuilding on this momentum, our next steps are to pair these sensory and fine-motor activities with our Handwriting Without Tears cards, Magentic Letters, and Alphabet Locks.
