Because of your kindness, our \"Learning Life Skills Through Fun Activities!\" project has made a meaningful difference in our classroom. My high school special education students have been using these hands-on materials to build important life skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and independence in a way that is engaging and enjoyable. Many of my students learn best by doing, and these resources have given them opportunities to practice real-world skills while having fun.\r\n\r\nThe excitement when the materials arrived was incredible! My students couldn't wait to explore each activity, and they immediately began encouraging one another and celebrating each other's successes. It has been wonderful to watch students who are often hesitant to participate become more confident as they interact with their classmates and experience success through these activities.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we'll continue using these resources to strengthen independent living skills, social skills, and decision-making while connecting them to real-life situations. These lessons will help prepare my students for life beyond high school, giving them confidence in the classroom, the workplace, and their communities. Your generosity has created opportunities that will continue to benefit my students for years to come. Thank you for investing in their future and reminding them that there are people who believe in their success.\r\n\r\nWith sincere gratitude,\r\n\r\nCasey Young\r\nSpecial Education Teacher","fullyFundedDate":1726076152790,"projectUrl":"project/learning-life-skills-through-fun-activit/8715184/","projectTitle":"Learning Life Skills Through Fun Activities!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Young-Newberry","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9689751_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1784081025944","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9689751"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77318","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":208,"numTeachers":14,"percentFrplEligible":60,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":92,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","percentHawaiianImputed":0,"percentMultiracialImputed":1,"gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"14.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":62.5,"schoolId":77318,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Marionville High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Marionville High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/marionville-school-district-r9/marionville-senior-high-school/77318"}
