Also, my students learned a lot from creating these projects. \r\n\r\nFirst, my students created their own HGTV Dream Home. The students used the information that was taught by their teacher to create their own dream home out of different types of shapes. The students had use their knowledge to calculate the area of composite figures in their house. \r\n\r\nSecond, my students had to create their own city. They had to decide which buildings they wanted to use, How to draw the buildings surface area using graph paper, and where to place them on the paper.\r\n\r\nThe students LOVED completing these projects because they could use their own creativity without realizing they were using their math skills at the same time.
