Learning should be engaging, fun, and achieved through many different modes. Students in my class love do learn through hands on activities and centers. Unfortunately, the cost of the materials and supplies needed to create these centers really add up. Most of my students do not have their own pencil, let alone their own pack of crayons or dry erase markers. These materials and supplies would help my students become involved in their learning and more excited to participate in the lessons. It will prevent them from missing out because they don't have the money for their own supplies. You can help make a difference in the attempt to bridge the achievement gap for low socioeconomic students.
