They couldn't believe that this peaceful little space was just for them. Right away, they started exploring the cozy seating, sensory tools, and reflection cards. Students go there to take mindful breaths, use fidgets to refocus, or write in a calm journal before rejoining the group. It's made a noticeable difference in helping students regulate emotions and get back on track more quickly after feeling frustrated or overwhelmed.\r\n\r\nAs we move into our upcoming social–emotional learning unit, students will be practicing identifying emotions and using strategies from the calm corner to handle stress or solve problems peacefully.
