These resources are changing the way they learn, speak, and feel about themselves every single day.\r\n\r\nWhile items like dry-erase boards, clipboards, and basic school supplies might seem ordinary, in our classroom, they act as vital bridges to literacy. For a multilingual learner, a blank notebook page can feel intimidating. However, the dry-erase boards give them a safe space to practice reading, writing, and spelling. If they make a mistake, they can simply wipe it away and try again—removing the \"scary\" part of learning a new language.\r\n\r\nThe clipboards have also transformed our room, allowing students to get up, partner with peers, and practice speaking English through interactive reading games. Furthermore, tools like our new markers and art supplies allow students to show their understanding through drawing or mapping out stories when they don't quite have the spoken English words yet.\r\n\r\nWe are already seeing huge changes in our quietest students. Children who used to stay silent out of nervousness are now confidently writing on their whiteboards and proudly sharing their work with the class.\r\n\r\nYour donation did so much more than just buy school supplies—you truly succeeded in empowering our multilingual learners. You gave them a voice, confidence, and a joy for learning. Thank you for believing in our students. A standout moment was during our recent study of the mealworm life cycle. Having live mealworms in the classroom brought the lesson to life, and the new magnifying glasses were a total game-changer. They allowed the students to get a fascinating, close-up look at the mealworms' unique features and movements, sparking a level of curiosity and observation that wouldn't have been possible otherwise.\r\n\r\nIt was so fun to watch the students' reactions as the boxes started piling up! At first, they were so confused, but once they realized people had donated these items specifically for them, they were thrilled. They started asking me every single morning if a new package had arrived. Their favorite part, besides using the tools, was helping me break down the boxes and set everything up. It has made the whole experience feel like a team effort, and they are so grateful for their new learning materials.","fullyFundedDate":1760570692138,"projectUrl":"project/sparking-a-love-for-learning-in-third-gr/9827594/","projectTitle":"Sparking a Love for Learning in Third Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Enoki","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10098363"},{"teacherId":9468890,"projectId":9152983,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! My third grade students and I were so incredibly excited when our four ginormous boxes were delivered to our classroom! Students were using words like \"slay\" and \"upgrade\" to describe our new standing boards. Gone were the flimsy wipe boards that were hung on the walls with ugly blue painter's tape and hello to big standing boards on wheels!\r\n\r\nOur standing boards are used to work out math problems in groups of two or three students. Working in groups allow students to practice and develop their communication skills as well as their problem solving skills. It's such a great way for students to be engaged and actively learning. Students ask on the daily if they will be working in groups. I have put the boards in use in other ways as well. It works wonders in small groups.
