We've been working on building reading stamina, and the new setup has helped them settle in and stay focused. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students curl up with their books on the first day we set everything out. They sat down, looked around, and one of them said, \"It feels like a little library in here.\" Their faces lit up, and they couldn't wait to take turns using the pillows and picking their spot on the rug.\r\n\r\nRight now we're in the middle of a reading challenge where students are practicing retelling stories using beginning, middle, and end. This space has become the spot where they go to work with partners and share their books. Our next step is helping them build confidence by recording short videos of their retells, and they'll be using this same cozy area to do it.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our classroom.
