Unfortunately, not many of them said reading, so then I asked them another question, \"What are ways we can include reading back into our lives?\" and many of them came up with a reading area where it is easy to find the books they want, plus a comfortable place to relax in. So I went to work, moved the library around, found empty shelves, an old rug, and some Squishmallows, and made the Reading Corner! The students were happy and loved how it felt like a private area just for them. Only one thing was missing: the books they know they deserve. So the time came again to ask another question: \"What books do you want to read?\" The responses were overwhelming, so I went back to work to fulfill as many as possible. \r\n\r\nThanks to your donation, you gave our library's Reading Corner the refresh it needed, with tons of books the students requested! Every time I was called into the office, I knew it was another amazing book that would be greatly used! When I open each box, I make sure to label each book and add it to our system right away, no time wasted, then place it loud and proud in the Reading Corner. Within hours, students notice the new books and cannot wait to read them! It's amazing seeing my students from different grade levels coming together and getting excited about the same reading corner they all helped build. \r\n\r\nNot only did your donation add many smiles to students' faces, but it also helped cover two outstanding book fees and replaced three lost books! These books also helped our school get closer to reaching our library goals. Before this project, our average book age was 2002; now, thanks to all these newly published books, our library age is 2003! A little always goes a long way, and thank you once again for adding these books to our library. They will create smiles and bring comfort into our new, refreshed reading corner for many years to come!","fullyFundedDate":1773856903264,"projectUrl":"project/refresh-reading-corner/10021815/","projectTitle":"Refresh Reading Corner","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Villa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10400301_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768341689698","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10400301"},{"teacherId":8645846,"projectId":9755654,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our Donors Choose project. I am thrilled to share that your contribution has already made a meaningful impact on our students' learning. Since receiving these materials, we have seen remarkable growth in our quarterly math benchmarks. Students are more attentive, collaborative, and genuinely excited to engage with challenging numerical tasks.\r\n\r\nWhat once felt intimidating to many of them; activities requiring higher‑order thinking has now become an opportunity they approach with confidence and curiosity. The resources you helped provide have played a tremendous role in making this transformation possible.\r\n\r\nI am sincerely grateful for your generosity and even more excited to share this wonderful progress with my admin staff and parents. The funding of this project means the world to both them and me.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, our gifted and advanced learners now have access to engaging materials and meaningful opportunities that allow them to explore, enjoy, and deepen their understanding of mathematics. Your investment enriches their experiences today and will continue to inspire their curiosity for years to come.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our students and our entire gifted education program, thank you for believing in their potential and for making a lasting difference.","fullyFundedDate":1763618259538,"projectUrl":"project/expanding-mathematical-mastery-for-gifte/9755654/","projectTitle":"Expanding Mathematical Mastery for Gifted Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Harris","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8645846_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763614486981","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8645846"},{"teacherId":10400301,"projectId":10000476,"letterContent":"Magnet was a school without a librarian for 5 years before I came, and it has been hard work to reach the goals we need to reach to be up to standard. I've been working my hardest to get the Library the newest titles for all grade levels so they can be excited to read. It's hard to get kids to read when we hardly carry any popular titles, graphic novels, or books published before 2020. And over the past two years, we've been receiving funding only through scholastic book fairs, which require a lot from our families. We are a Title One school, and when we host 2-3 book fairs per school year, the costs start to add up, and the book selection becomes limited. I want to provide an amazing reading environment for my students because I know they deserve it. \r\n\r\nThanks to your generous book donation, our Library has become that better place for my students to read. This large donation of new books will never go unnoticed, and every single grade level, K-8th, has been ecstatic hearing the news and seeing the books on the shelves. As the books come in, I process them into our system so they are available for every student to check out and read right away. Not only do the books you send us allow students to explore their reading interests, but they also help us get closer to our goals. Some of the books sent helped clear outstanding book fees on students' accounts dating back to 2015. You also help our Library move closer to reaching our goal of updating our library age average. Thanks to all of these books and some that I weeded out, the system is now at year 2002, which was a lot better than 1998! You have touched this librarian's heart and the reading minds of many students at our school, and for that, I will always be grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1768262213693,"projectUrl":"project/new-and-lost-books/10000476/","projectTitle":"New and Lost Books","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Villa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10400301_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768341689698","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10400301"},{"teacherId":3324208,"projectId":9190950,"letterContent":"Thank you for the recess and balance materials. The balance beams have also helped students practice their balance and coordination.\r\nWhile students have been using our new materials, I have really been able to see which students are athletic, want to be athletic, or need a little support with motor skills and fine motor skills.
