It is amazing to be able to see the accessibility to self care items our students now have. Having these items out in the open has allowed students to become more comfortable coming to the carts and taking items from them. \r\n\r\nOur students have been and go through lots of judgement for ending up at a continuation school. Our goals are to eliminate any walls, barriers, etc that they could even face within our small school. The best way we thought to do this would with items that show we care about them as individuals here and at home, thus came the self care carts on campus.\r\n\r\nSince an indoor school, we were able to divide our items in half and put them in two different locations on campus. Each time any student swings by either of the locations, they always are very thankful when they leave with anything. \r\n\r\nThe effort we have put into giving them access to free resources has not gone unnoticed. As staff, we are also all very thankful for being able to provide this with the help of our donors!","fullyFundedDate":1764686549058,"projectUrl":"project/confidence-starts-with-care/9887877/","projectTitle":"Confidence Starts with Care","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Raquel Covarrubias Pina","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10347548"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_131359","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":121,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":18,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":64,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":null,"schoolId":131359,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Madrone High School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Madrone High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/san-rafael-city-elementary-school-district/madrone-high-school/131359"}
