Students have a chance to think about synonyms and work on their vocabulary skills. I can get a large group of fourth graders, quiet, and participating at the very end of the day through this game! Truly – they are very few things in life that can do that!\r\nI also use the Super Sentence, Spying Word Parts, and comprehension board game at teacher table during my small group intervention! Students who can be work-avoidant ask for these and are excited to meet me at teacher table! Instead of groaning about practicing multiplication facts or reading fluency, they were eager to grab the colorful cards, the Power Pens, and the folder games. One student told me, \"This feels like playing, not work!\" and that moment showed me exactly how powerful these resources are. The tools you provided have transformed our small group time into an engaging, hands-on experience where students are building skills with excitement and confidence.\r\n\r\nIn reading groups, the fluency cards and partner scripts have given students a structured way to practice while cheering each other on. I've seen even my more reluctant readers beam with pride as they improve their timing and expression. In math groups, the Power Pen cards and Grab & Play games have been a hit because students get instant feedback without waiting on me, which makes them more independent and motivated. One small group even asked if they could keep playing the multiplication game during indoor recess!\r\n\r\nNext, my students will be using these materials as part of our ongoing units in both math and literacy. For example, we'll soon be tackling multi-step word problems, and the self-checking cards will allow them to practice strategies in a low-stress, interactive way. In reading, we'll use comprehension games to connect with informational texts, helping students pull out key details while still enjoying the process. These resources are already building skills, confidence, and teamwork, and they will continue to support growth all year long. Students were already brainstorming where else we could spread them around our school and town.\r\n\r\nThis project has not only given my students the chance to express themselves creatively, but it has also helped them see how small acts of kindness can make a big impact.
