Because of your generosity, my K–5 students now have access to hands-on science tools and learning materials that truly bring science to life. Your kindness and willingness to invest in our classroom has made a meaningful difference in the daily experiences of my students.\r\n\r\nI teach elementary science in a school with a high percentage of low-income families. Many of my students do not always have access to enrichment materials, STEM toys, or science tools at home, which makes what you provided even more meaningful. You are helping level the playing field and giving students opportunities to explore, question, and discover in ways they might not otherwise experience. For many of my students, school is the place where they get to explore science for the very first time.\r\n\r\nThe large magnifying glasses have already sparked so much curiosity in our classroom. Students love examining leaves, rocks, fabrics, and everyday classroom objects up close and noticing details they never realized were there. This simple tool has helped build observation skills, scientific thinking, and excitement for exploration. It has also helped my youngest learners feel like real scientists.\r\n\r\nThe classroom microscope has been incredible. For many of my students, this is their first time using real scientific equipment. Being able to look at prepared slides and see the hidden microscopic world has made science feel real and accessible. Students are asking deeper questions and showing increased interest in how the world works at a level they cannot see with their own eyes.\r\n\r\nThe science read-aloud books are helping me build background knowledge, vocabulary, and excitement around science topics. They allow students of all reading levels to engage in meaningful science conversations and help connect science concepts to real-world experiences. These books are helping students see themselves as scientists and learners.\r\n\r\nThe magnetic building blocks have been wonderful for engineering and STEM challenges. Students are learning about structures, design, problem-solving, and teamwork — all while having fun creating and experimenting. These hands-on opportunities help build confidence and persistence.\r\n\r\nBecause of you, my students are not just learning science — they are doing science. You are helping inspire the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators.
