The flexible seating has completely transformed the way we learn together. Whether they're sitting on the carpet, working at low tables, or on a cushion, each student gets to choose a space where they feel comfortable and focused. It's amazing to see how much more engaged and collaborative they've become when they're able to pick the spot that works best for them.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite classroom routines now is our \"Group Task Bags.\" Each bag holds everything a group needs for their activity, and the students know exactly which one belongs to them. They love taking ownership—grabbing their group's bag, getting right to work, and then putting it neatly away for next time. It's helped them stay organized, responsible, and proud of their group's progress.\r\n\r\nThe excitement in the room was priceless! The moment they walked in and saw the new seating and task bags, their faces lit up with huge smiles. There were lots of \"Can I try that one?\" and \"This is so cool!\" They immediately started exploring all the different seating options and couldn't wait to start working with their new group bags. It was such a joyful moment—one of those reminders of why these resources make such a difference in how students feel about learning.\r\n\r\n\r\nWe're now using the flexible seating and task bags as part of our literacy rotations. Students will keep working on group challenges that encourage teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity. It's so rewarding to see them take initiative, support each other, and stay organized as they move through each project. These resources have truly helped them grow not only as learners but also as kind, confident, and independent thinkers.","fullyFundedDate":1755718137975,"projectUrl":"project/simple-additions-flexible-seating-optio/9498237/","projectTitle":"Simple Additions -flexible Seating Options and Organized Materials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cuellar","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7143631"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_39722","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":344,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":87,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":6,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":93,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":65.1,"schoolId":39722,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about MacArthur Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"MacArthur Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-mexico/las-cruces-public-schools/macarthur-elementary-school/39722"}
